Index Tab

The Index Tab is the most important part of the program. It controls the generation of the index webpage - the one with all the thumbnails. Frequently, people will not look beyond the thumbnails when looking at your website, or at most, they will only look at a few full size images. So, it is important to make it look good.

I have given you a level of control that no other program does. While many programs let you set some basic templates, you won't see what it will look like until you generate it. Image2Web goes much further, letting you see what it looks like, change things real-time, select many more options than any other program, and have a variable number of images on each row (my favorite).

The Index Tab has two parts:

Sample Webpage

This is what things look like within a reasonable level of tolerance. Of course, every web browser renders webpages a little different from each other. Regardless, with Image2Web this is very close to what you will see.

Drag

Click and drag the images to change the order (this can be done in the organize tab also)

Resize Images

If you are using the tool panel's, "Size" tab, you get 5 options to change the size of the images.
  • Vertical makes all the images have the same height. You can use the horizontal bar and move it up and down to change the height of the images.
  • Horizontal does the same thing.
  • Reduce lets you type a value and set it to that percentage - OR - you can drag the control on the bottom right corner to set the reduction factor.
  • Independent - you can change the size on any/every image by dragging the bottom right corner.
  • Tool Panel

There are a lot of options you can set using the tool panel. The best part is you can click around to see what they do. If you like it, keep it. If not, then unselect it.
